Jessica Jacob

LMFT - Associate

Central, Texas Therapist Specializing in Postpartum Therapy, Family Therapy, Couples Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Treatment

My priority when I am working with clients is to create a genuine and meaningful connection that will foster change. My belief as a therapist is that human connection and relationships can create hurts, but they can also heal. I consider everything about a person relevant to the therapy process. Families, friends, jobs, and organizations we are part of all shape who we are. It is only logical, then, to ensure that we address all these areas and how they are affecting our lives. I work with families, couples, and individuals by helping them to test their beliefs about themselves, their loved ones, and the world around them. After determining what beliefs and thought patterns are harmful or unhelpful, it is my goal that clients can change their thought processes and cognitive patterns to have a better life.

One population close to my heart are mothers experiencing postpartum depression. After experiencing it myself, I have a passion for helping new moms through this joyful, difficult, confusing, amazing time.

My style as a therapist is genuine, warm, unconditionally accepting, and honest. I want to validate and challenge my clients in a safe and nurturing environment.
